Japanese Straightening

Japanese straightening is a popular way of permanently straightening wavy, coarse or curly hair, originating in Japan in the 1990s. The service is in some ways similar to a perm and involves the use of a flat iron. It is ideal for those with loose curls or wavy hair who are tired of flat-ironing every day.

Smoothing Treatments

Our Smoothing Treatment (either L'Oréal or Cezanne) adds smoothness and shine to hair without completely removing curly or wavy textures. Cezanne is semi-permanent; the L'Oréal smoothing is a permanent treatment that is gentler on the hair. We recommend the L'Oréal treatment for natural hair and Cezanne for coloured or compromised hair. Both work on all hair types and last up to 4–6 months on average.

Pricing & Booking

Japanese Straightening and Smoothing services usually take 2.5–3 hours depending on hair length, thickness and condition. Prices start at $300.

A free consultation with one of our talented team members is required before your service is scheduled, to ensure the service will be suitable for your hair type.
